Age shouldn’t stop you playing football. In fact research says there’s no reason why you shouldn’t play when you’re over fifty so why not try Walking Football.
Canterbury Walking Football caters for all levels of fitness at our INDOOR two-touch, no-contact sessions on Mondays:
Mondays – 6 to 7pm

Your first session is free then £4 per session thereafter.
Three steps to healthy, physical and mental wellbeing:
Step 1 – come along to one of our sessions
Step 2 – put on your trainers
Step 3 – PLAY THE GAME
Some of our old feet will be on hand at every session to introduce you to the game and walk you through the rules.
You only need to bring a pair of trainers, comfy clothes and a sense of humour.
The sessions begin with a warm up of easy exercises followed by a range of individual and group activities to rekindle those football skills of control, passing and shooting in preparation for a game.
The game is played at a suitable pace and provides a recreational and healthy way to increase your physical activity. After the game a cooling down exercise helps prevent the muscles stiffening up followed by the opportunity for a cup of tea and a bit of banter in the Northgate Centre’s cafe.
